Where is Makapuu LIghthouse?

Makapuu Trail – how long is it? 

Makapu’u Lighthouse is a trail on the east side of Oahu, Hawai’i. It is about 6 miles long with an elevation gain of about 1,200 feet. The trail starts at Makapuu Beach Park and ends at Kaena Point near the Pacific Ocean seeing the other island out in the distance, such as Molokai and Lanai and in some clear days, Maui.

Along the way, hikers will get great views of the Molokai Channel.This channel is where many Humpback whales come to migrate to bask in the warmer climates of the Hawaiian waters.
